Hi All

Over last 6 months I have been using Fedora as a server with a small
organisation here in mumbai. I used Fedora Core 6.
Before implementing it, i had installed it on my machine at home in
order to check how it fares as compared to CentOS 4.3
CentOS was unable to install drivers for my lan card and it was the
same with the server at the organisation. So I thought of fedora as
RHEL/Centos 5 wasnt ready at that time.

Now after monitoring it for about 6 months I notice that memory usage
in FC6 on the server is nearly 97% most of the time. I did a cros
check recently with ps aux and added the memory usage. I find that it
adds up to less that what is shown when free -m is executed. On the
server, the service that are running are httpd, squid and iptables.
none other network services are turned ON. The system has 512mb ram.

At home, FC6, that i use as desktop OS now, also shows considerable
memory usage if kept ON for long hours. No network services are
running on the machine. Just boots into GUI mode with very limited
services turned on. My system has 1gb ram and i end up getting only 10
to 20 mb free!!!

I am suspecting memory leak as the issue.
Also the server one is rebooting almost every day.
Is there something i can do to make FC6 more stable. Oh, btw my home
FC6 is an updated one.
Any help!! ??

thanks
