hay man
/usr/local partion is mounted on /usr/local direcotry
so when u go to /usr u r on /usr partition and as soon as u go inside
/usr/local means ur switching partition from /usr to /usr/local so dont get
confused.
"Every files under /usr/local directory is on /usr/local partion"
try umount /usr/local and mount /usr/local to validate it.
