*FOSS.IN* is one of the world's largest and most focussed
FOSS<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FOSS>events, held annually in India.
Over the years, it has attracted thousands
of participants, and the speaker
roster<http://foss.in/2007/info/Past_Speakers>reads like a "Who's Who"
of FOSS contributors from across the world.
FOSS.IN is extremely focused on FOSS developers and contributors, and does
not cater to FOSS advocacy and basic introductory talks that are already
being catered to by User Groups and other conferences.
Where and When

FOSS.IN/2007 will be held on December 4-8, 2007 (Tuesday through Saturday),
at National Science Symposium
Centre<http://foss.in/2007/info/National_Science_Symposium_Centre>of
the Indian
Institute of Science<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institute_of_Science>in
Bangalore <http://foss.in/2007/info/Bangalore>, India.
Who should participate

If you are are someone who has the skills (coding, testing, documenting,
etc.) and who has always wanted to participate in a FOSS project, or if you
are an existing contributor who is looking at exchanging thoughts and
experiences with your peers, then FOSS.IN is for you.
What you can expect

As always, there are plenty of changes, improvements and new things at the
event.

The event itself is in two major parts:

   - The Main Conference, which is on December 6/7/8 (Thu/Fri/Sat)
   - "Project Days", which are on December 4/5 (Tue/Wed)

The formats of each of these are very different from each other, but both
are integral parts of the event. Both will take place at the main venue.
With an impressive line of talks (http://foss.in/2007/shortlist.php) its a
must visit event for all FOSS enthusiasts.
