Hi
I am trying to inall the yum installer ( yum-2.2.0-1.noarch.rpm ) from
http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/download/2.2/
rpm -ivh yum-2.2.0-1.noarch.rpm

i restarted yum and it started with no error
[EMAIL PROTECTED] software]# /etc/init.d/yum start
Enabling nightly yum update: [ OK ]
but when i try to install gcc it give me the following error
[EMAIL PROTECTED] software]# yum install gcc

ImportError: No module named yum

can some one help me with this error ...
