(PST) I had configure squid, when i restart the service
it shows the erro as follows.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# service squid restart
Stopping squid: /etc/init.d/squid: line 82: 3252 Aborted
$SQUID -k check >>/var/log/squid/squid.out 2>&1
[FAILED]
init_cache_dir /var/spool/squid... /etc/init.d/squid: line 54: 3253 Aborted
$SQUID -z -F -D >>/var/log/squid/squid.out 2>&1
Starting squid: /etc/init.d/squid: line 53: 3254 Aborted
$SQUID $SQUID_OPTS >>/var/log/squid/squid.out 2>&1
[FAILED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# cd /var/spool/squid/
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root

Dear Dinesh
It is very simple to solve this whenever you start squid it try to resolve
your hostname so either you can specify into /etc/hosts or if u check a log
file
/var/log/message for log u will get mesg visible_hostname should be specify
into /etc/grub/grub.conf
