[LinuxVadaPav] Inode limit query.

i want to know where is inode limit set in linux
also
my /var is full wrt inode as no inodes free inodes are left
but there is sufficient space remaining 

i cannot do fsck nor reboot the server as it is suppose to run 24*7
Any solution please
