Try to remove NetworkManager package and check. This can solve the
firefox offline mode problem.

Hi,
Do one thing on your fedora 9 machine go to /etc/dbus-1/system.d
directory. make copy of NetworkManager.conf file(for backup purpose) and then
edit NetworkManager.conf with your favourite editor and change
"allow send_interface" to "deny send_interface" Keep in mind "allow
send_interface" is there in 3 different lines. so you have to make changes at
3 places.
