Question :  Linux dual Booting laptop, How to remove linux from my
hard disk and how to convert that partition in to FAT or NTFS format.

Ans:

First, in Xp, you need to go to c:>windows> system32> dskmngmt.msc

A window will show all the partitions in your system. Simply delete the ones
not tagged as FAT32 or NTFS. Make a new partition out of free space. Them exit.

Now insert your windows xp bootable cd. and restart your system(make sure that
you have selected CD ROM as first boot device. Now boot from the cd and it will
start copying some files. When it says Install a fresh copy or repair. Select
Repair. and when you get to the dos prompt, just type fixmbr and on prompt type
yes or y and press enter.

Now remove the CD and reboot.
