Sorry if this is the wrong group. Please let me know the correct group as this
pertains to phpBB and mysql on Fedora 8.
The users on our intranet forums on phpBB have stopped receiving email
notifications when someone replies to their post.
It was noticed that there are two instances of mysql. Mysql and mysql5.0
Earlier, turning off mysql5.0 resolved the issue. But now it doesnt help as
users get the "General SQL Error."
# /etc/init.d/mysqld status
mysqld (pid 22838) is running...
# /etc/init.d/mysql5.0 status
mysqld (pid 22838) is running...
The ps -el output shows the following
4 S 0 22806 1 0 80 0 - 1095 wait4 ? 00:00:00 safe_mysqld
4 S 27 22838 22806 0 75 0 - 8370 - ? 00:00:01 mysqld
The tables were repaired to rectify the General SQL error but now the
Administration Control Panel is lost.
