hi gourav
to monitor remote disks/partitionsthrough nagios

you should install nrpe on both nagios server  and also on the  remote host to
be monitored

and on the remote host edit the nrepe.cfg  file

go to the command  section
there will be a default eg for     command[check_hda1]
edit it with your actaual hardisk values  in my case h i have modified it like
this way
command[check_home]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -w 20% -c 1% -p
/dev/cciss/c0d1p1
and on nagios server  edit the commands.cfg

add the following commnads  (use your  remote host ip  my case it was
192.168.1.5)

define command{
        command_name    check_home_partition
        command_line    /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H 192.168.1.5 -c
check_home

on the nagios server  edit the  remotehost.cfg  and  add the following new
service
on the host section add  your remote host details

define host{
        use                     mail-server            ; Name of host template
to use
                                                        ; This host definition
will inherit all variables that are defined
                                                        ; in (or inherited by)
the linux-server host template definition.
        host_name               mailserver
        alias                   mailserver
        address                 192.168.1.5
        }

in the service section
define service{
        use                             local-service         ; Name of service
template to use
        host_name                       mailserver  # (put your remote host
server name  here)
        service_description             Home Disk Space
        check_command                   check_home_partition
        notifications_enabled           1
        contact_groups                  erpadmin  # put your contact  name
here)
        }

if you are using a template for copying  values

edit the templates.cfg  and add your  remote host details
define host{
        use                     mail-server            ; Name of host template
to use
                                                        ; This host definition
will inherit all variables that are defined
                                                        ; in (or inherited by)
the linux-server host template definition.
        host_name               mailserver
        alias                   mailserver
        address                 192.168.1.5
        }
check for any nagios error by using the command
/usr/local/nagios/bin/./nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
 if no errors restart the  nagios service

now you should monitor  remote disks/partitionsthrough nagios
