Fletcher, Reading your earlier posts, you come across as a self-proclaimed Linux newbie. I would get my hands dirty with Linux first, see if I am comfortable with it, see if my favourite apps work with it, and only then think about security. I wouldn't know what color PAM is without understanding the basics first. I would install a Linux distro, jump into it and start swimming. Regards, NMK.
