Essential:
Ability to resolve 2nd and 3rd level midrange support
Full understanding of fundamental concepts in Unix Operating Systems &
specialist in Solaris & / or Red Hat Linux with exposure to various flavors of
Unix viz. AIX
Minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in supporting Unix (Solaris / Red hat Linux
/ AIX) production and development environments.
Must have a good exposure in the following areas of technology, networks,
servers, mid range computing, enterprise management systems, data management
Aministration level certifications in Solaris 10 / 8 / 9
Diploma or higher in Engineering.
Any experience in SUN Microsystems Enterprise / Midrange Servers, SAN fabric;
IBM Power5 servers; Sun Cluster; Solaris 10 with ZFS and Veritas Volume Manager
Exposure to management tools to pro-actively improve services.
Able to train junior team members / colleagues on Unix Server Technology.
Experience in Disaster Recovery / BCP solutions and procedures.
Experience in supporting Enterprise Web Hosting environments.
Excellent problem solving and planning skills, a flexible approach with good
verbal and written English communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in working with security and authentication methods
and tools in a Solaris / Red Hat Linux / AIX production environment.
Exp:3 to 5ars
