Hi,

In that case os should write log in /var/log/messages file.

Just ensure that you have turned on ulimit settings as well (lot helpful)

Any specific reason to throttle connections rate to 1025? If you know the
method to throttle something then I am sure you must be knowing how to
troubleshoot the same. Isn't it?

Vijay

Subject: [LinuxVadaPav] How to check log if OS kills a custom process.

Hi,
I am running a custom process in redhat linux (rhel 5). By default a
process can have i guess 1025 connections. If it exceeds then OS kills that
particular process. In this case sometimes logs are not generated .. So how to
conclude that OS has killed that particular process or not......
