Just FYI - I tried looking at "http://open.eucalyptus.com/"; but I was not so lucky because of some reasons. Would like to hear from others on their experience / views on this. Basically my requirement is pretty simply :) * I have >10 servers but with different low end hardware / network resources * I want to merge all these servers into one large cluster * I want to run my reporting application that includes mysql backend & php front-end. * Mysql table contains >100 Mn unique records per day & which is why I am looking beyong single server solution. There are some applications running in them, which require a lot amount of resources in terms for CPU and Memory. So far we were using application cluster in them for parallel processing to run those applications (crystal, WASP, WIEN2K and many more.) But setting this is a very hard and time consuming process and then too some applications dont work on it & moreover scholars are not comfortable to work over it as they are technically week. so i thought to build a OS cluster so that the application would be run on that and if there is need of more resources . it will be transferred to other servers automatically & uses RAM & CPU of other servers. any ideas about that... any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated. thanking you in advance.
