I'd like to have the "pie in the sky" (I am sure a lot of people in
this list like it too :).  I truely think the shared library is the
way to go.  It may not be part of Xorg.  But it should be part of
x.org (or more accurately, X.Org, since both of my Shift keys are in
perfect condition). Refer to
