I am tied to another project at this moment. I do not have time to go
through the details to see if tpc's logic is right.  But, looks like
there is indeed something wrong in the driver since Bastian Blank
posted a patchset at LKML that might be related to your crash issue.
I'll forward Bastian's patches to you in a separate email so you can
test it.  If your testing result proves his patches resolve the crash
issue, that would be the proper way to go.  If not, we can get in
touch with him to see if he has a better solution for Bamboo P&T or
not.
