Hi All,

I recent found the following regression: I upgraded from 0.8.3.2-1 to
0.10.3+20100109-1 (on Debian). After the upgrade, I find that when I
switch to a VT, and switch back to X, the server hangs for between 5 and
8 seconds.

I initially thought this was an issue with my X upgrade, and reported it
on the Debian BTS

    http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=568608

However, after removing the Wacom input devices from my xorg.conf, I
find that the problem goes away. VT switches are instant in that case.

With Wacom enabled, switching to a VT and back to X generates the
following line in my Xorg.0.log:

(WW) stylus: unable to read ISDV4 % data after 3 tries at (38400)

I tried to see if the problem is fixed in the latest version, and
installed xf86-input-wacom-0.10.4 myself. The problem persists, but now
I find the line

(WW) stylus: ISDV4 control data (0) error in % query

in my Xorg.0.log after switching to a VT and back to X. I'm using a
Tablet PC (HP 2710p). After successful initialization my Xorg.0.log
shows:

    (--) stylus: Wacom General ISDV4 tablet speed=38400 maxX=26312 maxY=16520
maxZ=255 resX=2540 resY=2540  tilt=disabled
    (--) stylus: top X=61 top Y=227 bottom X=26353 bottom Y=16581 resol X=2540
resol Y=2540
    (--) eraser: top X=61 top Y=227 bottom X=26353 bottom Y=16581 resol X=2540
resol Y=2540

Please let me know if anyone else has seen this problem, and what I can
do to track it down (and avoid it). This makes VT switching (and
consequently waking up from suspend) quite unpleasant.

Thanks in advance,

GI
