xsetwacom has a parameter named TabletID. But IIRC its not filled for all 
tablet classes. I cant test right now, but I think my MTE-650 didnt have it 
filled, where as my intuoses did.

Anyway, I dont think per tablet settings make much sense, more than at model 
level. One same sized intuos 3 is interchangeable with another and probably 
should share settings. What does matter is having sepparate settings per pen 
for Intuos tablets. Right now driver does not support multiple pens as 
separate devices the hotplug way sadly, but it should... Ive looked at the 
code even to make it happen but it was abit over my head:(
