yes, for the simple reason that patches that go into linuxwacom are (to my
knowledge) not picked up by any distribution. so it's a bit of a dead end,
especially for those users not wanting to rebuild kernel drivers after each
distribution kernel update.

linuxwacom/input-wacom is mainly for those that stay with a given kernel
version for an extended period of time, e.g. users of enterprise or LTS
distros.
