Hello,
My name is Jonathan and I am a Computer Science major at Tennessee
Technological University. I have studied C++ and Java while here at school.
I have a Toshiba Tecra M7 Tablet PC that I bought refurbished with Windows
7, but promptly replaced said OS with Fedora Linux. It was then that I
realized how far behind Linux was in terms of Tablet PCs. It is for this
reason, and the desire to get experience with the C programming language
that I have decided that I want to join the Linux Wacom Project.
I know that some of these are not in the scope of this project, but these
are the things I'd like to see:
- Handwriting input software that doesn't rely on preconfigured training
- Gesture-based controls that allow things like scrolling a web page
- A GNOME integrated tablet configuration interface
- Tablet rotation that just works
And there are probably others that have skipped my mind, but all will come
out in due time.
