Oh, the context of the quote Peter posted above was the the
rotation/wheel of the artpen and airbrush pens. Puting the rotation on
a separate axis would have caused it to be unsupported for a long time
because that's some functionality application needs to provide and for
a pen, that sucks. Pad devices are simpler in that regard, Gimp and
other applications I guess can easily be left not handling them at
all, and let the driver configuration emit appropriate key events etc.
