And to throw my two cents in...

When using ginn is an option, this is the best multitouch option now.
If its not so easy then you can also use xf86-input-wacom for
multitouch gestures.  At least I do on my mosart touchscreen that uses
hid-multitouch.  The wacom driver has many known gesture issues but
they are slooowly being worked on.
