Since your results are at odds with mine, I did some more digging around. Our Windows and Mac drivers do some magic to improve accuracy, but fundamentally they treat the hardware tilt values as angles in degrees rather than sines. I suppose it's possible that the magic compensates for the initial treatment-as-degrees but I find it unlikely. I could bug one of the firmware engineers, but that's overkill IMO. I wish I had the results I got earlier with an Intuos3 and Intuos4 for comparison, but I deleted them shortly after sending my March 30 message.
