I've got mixed feelings on removing this code... On the one hand, its
completely unnecessary since we're not an Xorg project. On the other,
removing the code could make it harder to backport updates [1] made to
the upstream version of this script. I don't see too many relevant
updates since the last time we synced in late 2015, so it shouldn't be
too hard to backport things manually, but its still something to
consider.

I'll leave the decision up to you. Either way, my comments in patch 2
aside, this set is
