Im trying to make an Intuos 3 to work propperly under FC5, after some
tweaks on xorg.conf, it works fine for the system, except that inside
Apple Shake 4, it takes a long time to "open" the GUI with a bit of
lag in overall graphics (like an old gfx board). I mean, it freezes
the whole window, except the minimize, maximize and close buttons.
After a while, it cames to work without detecting when mouse focus
goes over another windows. A while later, it becames to detect, but
always some menus (such File, Edit, Tools) remains poped-up.
Sometimes not, so I can work fine if don't close the software.
Maybe you have broke some part of the xorg.conf file and disabled the opengl.
To be sure run the command glxinfo and ensure that you haver the next line:
direct rendering: Yes
Otherwise your opengl is running by softwae instead of hardware and
this cause the slow response in the Shake interface.
If you don't have hardware rendering ensure that you have loaded the
glx extension in the xorg.conf and that are using the correct driver
in your device section.
Well, Im not a *nux guy, so was kinda difficult to came into this
point, Im running FC 5 32bit, 2.6.15. Latest linux-wacom driver and a
Intuos 3.
Tryed to use wacdump, but could not get any luckly with it.
Do any have got the same issue? If there's some fix for that plz tell
me.
