Hello. I've got an Intuos2 USB tablet that I'm using in Linux. Depending
on how many other USB devices I've got plugged in at boot (and which USB
ports they're in), the /dev/input/event* device that gets attached to the
tablet change, ie it may be event1, event2, event3, etc. Since the X
configuration refers to this device by name, I end up having to edit the
configuration to point to the correct device and then restart X whenever
it changes, which turns out to be pretty often.

I tried googling, but couldn't find any solutions to this problem (or
anyone else having the problem, actually). Is there anything I can do to
fix this ? If possible, I'd like to lock the tablet device to one
particular device name. I'm using kernel 2.6.16, with UDEV to handle /dev.

Thanks,
- Gerry
