There's only my project http://freshmeat.net/projects/wacomexpresskeys
The code has very few dependencies so should compile even on redhat 4:

libX11.so
libXext.so
libXi.so
libXtst.so

And the header files Xlib.h, Xutil.h, XInput.h, XTest.h in addition to
normal programming headers.
