hello

my problem is the following:
I have the latest version of linuxwacom running on a debian 3.0 with a
2.4.27 kernel and 4.3.something xf86, for my fairly ancient sound-card I
use OSS.
the tablet is a serial graphire1, smallest size
Whenever I listen to mp3s and the tablet is active (not commented out)
random clicks are performed and pop-ups open, the song skips, the volume
changes. sometimes the pointer jumps to another position.
it doesn't matter wether I use the mouse or the stylus, it even happens
when there is neither of the two close enough to have any influence.
I could not make out that this was due to a specific application: xmms
causes this problem, beep using the xmms-oss-output and gnomp3 using
mpeg123. Timidity however does not seem to trigger these strange events,
so I guess it should have something to do with the files that turn the
mp3-data into sound?
with beep it seemed only to hapen when it would start or end playing a file.
could it be because my computer is rather slow? (500MHz)

see ya
janne
