Aleksander -- Gimp's Ink tool makes use of the tilt value. I think Gimp's 
.GIH brushpipes can also make use of tilt. You could try one of those. 
Perhaps Gimp's Ink tool deserves a mention in the linuxwacom documentation, 
since it seems to be one of the only ways to interactively test most aspects 
of a tablet on Linux.
