Hello, I am trying to install a Volito2 tablet on a Fedora Core 1 (unfortunately, I am unable to upgrade at the moment) machine with 2.4.22 kernel. First I tried to compile wacom.o from the latest stable package 0.7.4-3. wacom.c wouldn't compile and gives the error: cc1: error: bad value (i386-redhat-linux) for -march= switch cc1: error: bad value (i386-redhat-linux) for -mcpu= switch
I tried configuring with --with-arch=i686. This gives the error: wacom.c: In function `wacom_intuos_irq': wacom.c:699: error: void value not ignored as it ought to be Since I couldn't proceed I tried the beta package 0.7.3-1. This produces and error wacom.c: In function `wacom_intuos_irq': wacom.c:681: error: void value not ignored as it ought to be Next I tried, 0.7.2 and generated wacom.o, mousedev.o, evdev.o, usbmouse.o and hid.o without any problems. I copied it to the right locations in the kernel drivers directory. I rebooted the machine and tried to wacdump. wacdump /dev/input/event0 picks up mouse events and /dev/input/event1 identifies the tablet. But no movement is detected. But, if I press and hold any button or keep the pen in contact with the tablet and start wacdump, some data is shown. But, this isn't updated when i move the pen after wacdump is loaded. The event details aren't updated in any way. I tried 0.7.0 as well, but I don't think Volito 2 is supported in this version since the hid driver is loaded and the tablet is identified as a HID mouse device, though event1 is updated by pen movement. I would really appreciate any sort of help from anyone since I have almost spent 2 days trying many different things as well as searching the mailing list archives.
