Eric,
I need to know more details to figure out the issue. What kind of tablet do you have? USB or serial? If it is USB tablet, did you try to build and install wacom.c and hid-core.c from linuxwacom? Did you try to install linuxwacom from
linuxwacom.sf.net? If yes, which version did you use?
Ping

Hello all,
I've got my wacom tablet pretty much working in Slackware 10.2, kernel 2.6.13, KDE desktop environment.
However, i'm having some issues. I'm hoping you guys can help me out.
1) When I run "wacomcpl", It opens and on the device listing to the left, instead of "Stylus1","Cursor1", "Eraser1", etc., I have: "Stylus1" "usb" "eraser" "0".
Clicking on "Stylus1" gives me "Feel","Tool Buttons", & "Tracking" so those work fine. However, when I click on the other ones, I get "Unknown Device "nameofdevice" or it is currently a core device. So i can't adjust anything about the eraser or mouse settings! Also, where do those options come from? in particular, the "usb" and "0" entries make no sense.
2) When using Gimp with my trusty stylus, it works grerat until I go to enable the pressure sensitivity in "Configure Extended Input Devices" and "Stylus1" is set as the default device, but its mode is set to "Disabled"
When I try to enable it, trying both "Screen" and "Window" modes, It acts like a mouse, so as my real cursor is mapped to only part of my tablet, the Gimp cursor is acting like it's mapped to the WHOLE tablet, so the cursors don't align, i.e. i can have my stylus at the edge of the pad, and the paintbrush cursor will only be part of the way across the screen.
3) In KDE, when I click any button on the Quick Launcher panel (*.desktop files), It opens 2 instances of the same program, so it seems like it's being handled as a double click. In particular, when I click on "Firefox", It launches a window containing the source of the Firefox .desktop file, and then another window containing the firefox browser. I think it's a mess-up in my xsetwacom commands
Right now, it's set to:
Button1: 1
Button2: 3
Button3: 17
Any help on ANY of these issues appreciated!
Cheers,
Eric
