It would be wonderful if Wacom officially chose to support linux. As of now, there are a few but nevertheless important differences between in the basic functionality of the tablet drivers for windows and mac and those for linux. I would like to see tablets work exactly as Wacom intended.
(For example, on linux, when you hold down a sideswitch and lift the pen out of the tablet's proximity and then return the pen with the sideswitch still held down, the driver will release the button (and thus generate a button-up click event). The official windows drivers will take the more logical approach--the button will still be interperetd as held down. There are a few other important discrepancies....
