Thanks for your boundless patience with me Ping and Magnus! here's my report: The wacom.ko module works with 2.6.19 now, thanks to Magnus's patches!
There are still some minor problems, but getting outbound tracking to work is certainly an improvement! With 0.7.7-3, outbound tracking (may I call it OT?) is working (except for the corners, which still ignore movement but respect a stylus press). However, OT only works when the stylus becomes "outbound" only as a contituation of a movement from "inbound." What I mean is that if the pen is initially out of proximity and then you put in in the "outbound" area without it having passed through the "inbound" area, the pen is totally ignored by the tablet (until it becomes inbound again). So those seem to be the only two problems with outbound tracking in 0.7.7-3 as of now: 1. still no OT of movement on the corners 2. no OT anywhere if pen goes directly from out-of-prox -> outbound-area =============== I also tried the 0.7.7-2 driver (while still using wacom.ko from 0.7.7-3) and problem #2 above is not there. However, there is a minimal jumping-to-the-wrong-side-of-the-screen problem, but only when the pen gets too far from the edge (more than 1 cm or so). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
