Can you provide this output?:

  grep . /sys/devices/pnp*/*/*

For newer kernels (IIRC >= 2.6.17) you should not need this command. This 
should be done by the pnp driver automatically. Maybe you should try it 
without the command.

Btw. IIRC you can only use wacdump if you did not configured and use the wacom 
driver of the X-server at the same time.

I would assume in this case you already matched with ttyS0 the correct one. 
Btw. you should only use /dev/ttyS* devices and not tty*.
