Or you are talking about the second side switch of Wacom stylus? If your suggestion is for Wacom mouse with wheel, we've already supported the feature. To use the middle button as a button, just press it. To use it as a wheel, don't press it, roll the wheel up and down. It emits button 4/5 event, which is page up/down by default. You can also assign keystroke/modifiers to this wheel (up/down event) to emulate other key board events through xsetwacom command. To see a list of supported xsetwacom options, please issue "xsetwacom list", "xsetwacom list param", or "xsetwacom list mod". This new feature (keystroke and modifier) comes with the current beta release, 0.7.7-11. To assign the ring on Bamboo pad to page up/down, use: xsetwacom set pad striplup "core key up" xsetwacom set pad stripldown "core key down".
