Hmm. Do you get the same behaviour with the latest posted release? I think 
there should be some changes that address your problem in a later release.

The later releases also contains precompiled versions of the drivers and 
tools. These might be of interest (unless you want the kernel module, which 
must be compiled on your machine by you).

If I should make a guess I'd say that the kernel-header package isn't complete 
(.config is missing, which is used for storing the configuration of the 
kernel) and therefore can't compile the kernel module (or even do nothing).

But, do you need it? If you can cope with the pre-compiled ones that will 
spare you these problems.
