Your system has missed xi library.  To make your life easier, if your
kernel is 2.6.18 or later (if not, "yum update" it!), you can avoid
building anything.  Just download 0.7.8 and do the following:

bunzip2 linuxwacom-0.7.8.tar.bz2
tar xvf linuxwacom-0.7.8.tar
cd linuxwacom-0.7.8/prebuilt
su
./uninstall
./install

Update your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and reboot the system.  Once the system
is back, you should be on your way to draw (I am crossing my fingers
here :).
