Whether you use serial-to-USB or serial-to-PS/2 convertor, you'll need
the driver to drive the convertor first.  That is, it is not just a
Wacom driver question, it is also a question for the convertor driver.
Does it report tablet data?  There are many convertors only report
mouse or keyboard data.
