Hi Ping, Thanks for your guidance and patience :)

Unplug/replug and restart X normally fixes it as you did. Is there any way to solve this problem so that unplugging and restarting X are no longer needed? > I think you are on the right track. Your package should be fine. Well, we're almost there I guess. Today, running "xidump -u raw stylus" (or any other module) gives good results. That didn't work yesterday. I also read more of the documentation, especially the GIMP requiring GTK compiled with the --with-xinput=xfree, so this it what I'll do next. In the mean time, I cannot use the xsetwacom and wacomcpl and wacomcpl-exec (but the last two seem to use xsetwacom to get the devices' ID and probably to set the options through the graphical GUI). Here's the errors I'm getting: $ xsetwacom get stylus TabletID xsetwacom: xcb_xlib.c:41: xcb_xlib_lock: Assertion `!c->xlib.lock' failed. Aborted $ wacomcpl wacomcpl: using TCLLIBPATH="[list /usr/lib ]" Error in startup script: xsetwacom: xcb_xlib.c:41: xcb_xlib_lock: Assertion `!c->xlib.lock' failed. while executing "exec xsetwacom get $dev TabletID " (procedure "createDeviceList" line 15) invoked from within "createDeviceList " (procedure "createControls" line 6) invoked from within "createControls" (file "/usr/bin/wacomcpl-exec" line 1000) $ wacomcpl-exec Error in startup script: xsetwacom: xcb_xlib.c:41: xcb_xlib_lock: Assertion `!c->xlib.lock' failed. while executing "exec xsetwacom get $dev TabletID " (procedure "createDeviceList" line 15) invoked from within "createDeviceList " (procedure "createControls" line 6) invoked from within "createControls" (file "/usr/bin/wacomcpl-exec" line 1000) Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
