I would prefer the forum.  Any top level post to the form is cc'ed  to
the mailing list, and I do reply to anything on the mailing list, but I
would prefer everything to be on the forum, and will eventually close
down the mailing lists in favor of the forums.  

 

The forums are easier for new users to search for and past threads, and
there is more options for managing messages and threads than we have on
the mailing list.
