The latest version of Gambit-C has been uploaded to the Gambit wiki. Aside from miscellaneous fixes, the most notable addition is the source code for the "Gambit REPL dev" application for iPhone/iPad, in the examples/iOS subdirectory. Gambit REPL dev is an application with the same features as the "Gambit REPL" app v6.0 distributed on the App Store, and a few extra features useful for developers. Specifically, Gambit REPL dev allows scripts to be uploaded to a public script repository (the Gambit wiki) and there is a script repository browser to view and download scripts. Scripts can also be saved to the Documents folder of the iPhone, which can then be synched with a desktop computer using iTunes. The presence of these extra features means that Gambit REPL dev cannot be distributed at large on the App Store. However, nothing prevents an iOS developer from building Gambit REPL dev from the sources for their personal experimentation (on a limited number of iPhone/iPads). This allows iOS developers to easily experiment with Scheme programming and to share scripts.
