Na minha opinião foi ver que "até que essa linguagem estranha funciona". O fato do produto final ser um jar normal e você conseguir acessar qualquer outra biblioteca Java normalmente também ajudou muito. Detalhe interessante é que da equipe, quem se destacou mais rapidamente no projeto foi um rapaz recém-formado e sem experiência profissional alguma na área. Talvez a menor bagagem (e menor preconceito contra a ferramenta) tenha sido o principal motivo para isso.
