MLM, your opinion ?

Hi,

I was wondering whether you guys could tell me what you think of some
MLMs I'm considering right now...
The platform I intend to install the MLM on is Solaris 2.6, and I still
haven't made up my mind between Mailman 1.1 and Sympa 2.4.
In addition, I really need a product that will enable my application to
deal with foreign languages, especially french.

Would you mind sharing your own experience about it ?
Do you think another product would be suitable and/or better ?
