It goes like this:
1. You post a message to datamine-l.
2. Some address that's on your list is set up to forward everything
to [EMAIL PROTECTED], for archiving purposes or whatever.
3. egroups receives your message, but is set up to accept posts
only from people who are on [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(i.e. the dummy archival list, not the real datamine-l).
4. egroups sends you a rejection notice.
So what this person is doing is probably pretty ineffectual, since
it doesn't sound like egroups will actually accept any posts from
your datamine-l list.

The X-Envelope-To header was probably inserted by one of the mail
daemons that received your post. It does suggest that Majordomo
sent this message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] before it got
to eGroups.
As Norbert suggested, if you look up the MX records for
recursive-partitioning.com you find that they're handled by Bigmailbox:
[twp@ma-1 ~]$ nslookup -query=mx recursive-partitioning.com
Server: localhost.rootsweb.com
Address: 127.0.0.1
recursive-partitioning.com preference = 0, mail exchanger =
mailrecv.bigmailbox.com
recursive-partitioning.com nameserver = ns.newdream.net
recursive-partitioning.com nameserver = ns2.newdream.net
mailrecv.bigmailbox.com internet address = 209.132.220.133
ns.newdream.net internet address = 207.155.127.155
ns2.newdream.net internet address = 216.240.131.131
So it does sound like [EMAIL PROTECTED] is reflecting
all the posts on your list to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
