One thing I've seen is that on this list, if you don't control the
server with "majordomo" installed on it you're out of luck.  In other
words, if you have a host that provides the listserv for you.....it's
hard to get help.

I would think that there are several managers of lists that don't
actually own the server but manage their list remotely.

I run a majordomo list with about 1700 members and I'm hosted by
1-host.com who gives me access to their listserv.  I do all the
management by email and there have been times when I've asked a
question and been made to feel less than a manager because I didn't
have telnet access to my domo server.

This list has not been very good for managers that are trying to learn
how to manage because they are often treated like they shouldn't be
asking questions and answers have been few and far between.
