AOL customer Adam Bailey has posted such instructions; that much I can
verify. Whether there are also instructions available from official AOL
sources, I do not know.

| Anyone know what a message posted following these instructions looks like?

Presumably it looks like any other plain-text message.

| What is the URL of these instructions?

I hear that it is also still possible to send plain-text mail from AOL's
webmail interface at <http://www.aol.com/aolmail/>. Moreover Netscape 6.0
has a proprietary way of interfacing with AOL mail (a counterpart to the way
Outlook Express 5.0 and later can work with Hotmail), and it, too, might be
able to send plain text.
