Mark,

I use this tag in a couple of places at my company's intranet site. I've
had to go in and make the change you noted, as well as a couple of other
changes and it STILL doesn't work right. I've emailed the author about the
tag and did not receive a response. The EMPTYTEXT attribute is definitely
the problem - or more specifically - if you use emptytext - sometimes the
other two selects don't populate properly (they return all results instead
of filtered). Since my JS isn't that strong and since the author hasn't
replied, my workaround was to place a "dummy" record of "A" so that it would
always be the first option in the first select. It's not that good of a
solution for obvious reasons - but without a better understanding of just
what exactly is going on in the JS of the tag, it will have to do for now.

If you happen to get a response from Nate - please forward it to me.

If you want to see the modifications i've made - reply to me.

Has anyone ever got this to work to their satisfaction? I've got a decent
query that looks very similar to the example that comes with the code, but
it's not working right. I found a coding error in the tag file itself:
<CFPARAM NAME="Attributes.ForceWidth4" DEFAULT="">
and changed it to:
<CFPARAM NAME="Attributes.ForceWidth3" DEFAULT="">

I'm going to email the author, Nate Weiss, but I wanted to know if anyone
else has successfully used this tag. I'd like to add the "EMPTYTEXT"
parameter, but that really makes it act screwy.

Thanks.
mark
