The only two books I use are Forta's advanced CF and Mastering Cold Fusion 4.5, a sybex book - I won't leave home without it. Mastering cold fusion highlights: Has an index and definition/syntax of CF tags in alphabetical order in the back Sorts functions in alphabetical as well as by association (array functions together etc) and includes descriptions, syntax and related functions Has a good spread from beginner to Intermediate. The whole book comes on an included CD And it's about 1000+ pages so it is a good self defense tool :) Eddie Phillips EDS Canada Inc. Web Services Architect - PCO [EMAIL PROTECTED] Ph. I need to add an incremental number value in a new field (like a row number or Identity) to the final result set - a unique sequential ID I can group by in a second query done on the view. I understand how to make a calculated field in a view. But I don't know how to make a calculated field that is an incremental number based on the final dataset order. Any ideas? Palyne P.S. I am wandering the grand chasm between Forta's two CF books. Does anyone have ideas for other books that might address that CF middle ground? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This email server is running an evaluation copy of the MailShield anti- spam software.
