Yes it has to be one Document to send one print command. There is one
limitation to this though. If you have two different paper sizes in a PDF
lets say legal and letter you can only print them out on one size(even if
you have a printer with two paper trays), with one printer command. Adobe
knows about this and has refused to fix this. They say if you need to print
out 2 sizes, you send 2 print commands and collate them yourself.

I know how to create a dynamic pdf however how do you merge several pdf's
