I just set security on a 2nd, separate portion of a webdomain (not
under but equal to the other portion which is secure). The app names
are different in the app files. For some reason none of the files in
or under the new Application.cfm area are picking up the variables
set in the application file as variables. And the choke is not just a
'not found' error but am actual 'malformed syntax' error. I don't
see the problem though.

I put the appfile here:
/cfml/Application.cfm

and when I try to login with the form action sending to
/cfml/index.cfm
It chokes and gives me the syntax error.

But the vars inside the index.cfm file ARE cfsets in the appfile
(works fine in the other secure area, this is just a dupe of the app
file with a different name used in the top tag), and the vars ARE in
a cfoutput block within the index.cfm file.

Anybody seen this before, or have any ideas?

Best regards,
Palyne
